Just curious - do you know how and when they got into your site ?

Was it via the SQL injection attack during user registration that was mentioned in the thread you linked to ?

I guess this is related to the 20 second TTL for the DNS record. Usually the browser will cache the result itself for a lot more than that ( minutes ) so that is probably why the majority of their customers are not seeing the problem.

Using a normal caching server like bind won't fix the full problem though since it'll just keep the 20 second TTL.

You could ask them to increase this a little or perhaps check your browser settings to see if the internal DNS cache isn't working correctly.

Have you tried using BIND9 as a caching DNS server?

I use this on all my linux machines per default and have the cache specified for 2 days which works perfectly fine and remains upon reboot.

SICKB0Y's kernel really does improve your mileage with the AAO. But hey, if you read this, SICKB0Y, - pleeeeeeease try and do something about the battery life! I usually end up using freakin' XP on my AAO because the battery life in linux - even with your kernel - is about 70% of what I get on XP. XP gives me between 3 and 3.5 hours depending on my wireless usage. Any GNU/Linux distro gives me about 2 to 2.5, even after a lot of optimization using powerTOP and editing my local.rc to shift my governor down more aggressively, reducing writes to my hard drive, putting all my temps in memory...i can't get the battery life to improve much.
Anyway, thanks for all your hard work! I love Kuki.

Why do we work so hard to make it easy for the lazy? Why are we constantly lowering ourselves to the lowest denomination rather than getting them to drag themselves up for their own good and ours?

Just received a couple of these, assumed they used pl2303 as amazon.co.uk reviews said they used that chipset, built the pl2303 module for gentoo on a fit-PC slim I'm using, modprobed and the pl2303 recognised the cable, and did it work? ... No.

Did some Googling on the vendor ID and it turns out that these don't use the pl2303 and the correct driver is ch341 (my Google search found a patch and comment about this in the pl2303 driver for SuSE). So back to make "menu_config", built the ch341 driver, modprobed that and it works fine.

Next time, leave a Ubuntu LiveCD in your machine. It won't wipe your disc as the default is just to run as a LiveCD.
